Certificates allow you to complete a specific group of university courses (for credit) as either part of your degree studies or separately. Additional details on certificates are available here.

The theoretical and practical knowledge gained will allow you to put your degree to work helping urban and natural environments exist together in harmony. It will prepare you for involvement in urban ecological issues and for a wide variety of careers focusing on how ecology exists and is shaped in cities - perhaps as urban planners, field ecologists, landscape architects or educators.

The Urban Ecologies certificate program combines interdisciplinary studies with practical experience. It is one of the only undergraduate programs that explicitly addresses ecology as a shifting field, incorporating social and biophysical, theoretical and applied dimensions.
